If your company offers paid volunteering as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility policy or you are part of a team who want to help a good cause, then we’d love to hear from you.
Clothing Coventry are pleased to offer team volunteering opportunities.
All year round, Clothing Coventry gather donations of new and pre-loved items of clothing, shoes and school uniforms for vulnerable families. The local community donates the items and our core team of volunteers then sorts them, so they are readily available to be distributed to families in need.
We often need additional help with these tasks and that’s where a hardworking team of corporate volunteers comes in! You can truly make a huge difference to our ability to respond quickly and cost-effectively to the needs of the families we support.
We kindly ask for a minimum financial contribution of £250 per group of up to 12 people.
What you’ll get out of your session…
- The support of one of our dedicated, trained Volunteer Coordinators throughout your busy session.
- An informative briefing session to start and stories to motivate you throughout the day.
- Hot/cold drink refreshments (we usually have biscuits and cake too).
- A volunteering certificate with team photo to proudly display at your place of work.
- Access to all the resources you’ll need to stay involved in our work.
- Team bonding, new skills and a sense of satisfaction that you’ve made a real difference.
We appreciate the £250 financial contribution from our corporate volunteer groups. You’ve taken time out of your busy schedule so the payment means we’re resourced and ready to provide you with a well-organised session that suits your team. When you see the difference we are making, you’ll know how valuable this is.

FAQ’s
Where does the volunteering take place?
We have two warehouses in Coventry.
19 Napier st, Coventry, CV1 5PR
8 Napier st, Coventry, CV1 5PR
One is where we receive donations and sort the clothes, one is set up like a free charity shop where families come to choose clothes.
When do the sessions run?
Sessions run on Wednesdays from 10:00am – 2.00pm. We have found that the length of our sessions gives optimal enjoyment and performance – after being on your feet most of the day, then an earlier finish is usually welcomed.
Other arrangements can be made, please contact us to discuss.
Is there a charge?
We kindly ask for a minimum financial contribution of £250 per group of up to 12 people, which will be invoiced once the booking is confirmed.
This will ensure that there is a trained member of staff with you throughout the session, and contributes towards the operational costs of our warehouse. Ultimately, by making a financial contribution it helps us to support vulnerable families in the local area.
Is there parking available?
There is limited parking available on our industrial estate, please car share where possible.
What should we wear?
Volunteering with us is a good chance to escape your desk job and leave the office attire behind! You’ll be on your feet for much of the time during the day. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Layering your clothes accordingly is a good idea as temperatures will depend on the time of year and what task you are allocated. We’re often walking between the warehouses moving stock in all weathers.
Can we bring donations with us on the day?
We’d love for you to organise a collection in your office of clothes and shoes and bring them with you! You’ll be able to see the impact of the clothes as you work during the day.
Are you accessible?
Our warehouses are located in older industrial units and unfortunately the toilet facilities are not currently wheelchair accessible. If any member of your team has accessibility requirements, please contact us before your visit and we will do our best to make suitable arrangements.
What kind of tasks will we be doing?
Tasks vary depending on what is most needed on the day. These may include:
• Sorting and categorising clothing donations
• Hanging and organising items on rails
• Packing clothing bundles
• Preparing school uniform for distribution
• Moving boxes or stock between our two warehouses
All tasks directly support our work providing free clothing to local families.
How else can our company support Clothing Coventry?
Many companies choose to support us beyond their volunteering day by organising workplace clothing collections, fundraising events or donating new essentials such as underwear and socks.
If your organisation would like to explore further ways to support our work, we would love to discuss this with you.
